About 60 artists, representatives of the European Council of Artists, academics and politicians from all over Europe attended the conference which was chaired by the Danish journalist Georg Metz.

The report contains short summaries of each contribution and the discussions together with the speeches and texts, the conference program, the list of participants and information on the European Council of Artists. The report has been prepared by Finn Frandsen and Orla Vigsø.
